Tribute to Robin Elizabeth Miller, known as "The Sugarbird Lady", who was a Western Australian aviator and nurse.
The name "The Sugarbird Lady" was given to her by outback Aboriginal children during her work combatting polio. She dispensed polio vaccine in sugar lumps for the children, hence the name.
She died in 1975 of cancer at the age of 35 and leaves behind a great legacy and this memorial.
